Nationwide Fire Sprinklers is a family run SME operating out of Colwick Industrial Estate, Nottingham. We install residential and domestic fire sprinkler systems UK wide, into homes, offices, apartments, hotels and HMO’s. This is a great opportunity for a keen individual to join a growing business, with scope to develop and progress, for the right person with the right approach.

What the role will involve:
• Overseeing sales and purchase ledgers
• Reconciliation of all ledgers
• Preparation of management accounts and month end duties (prepayments, journals etc)
• Bank, Balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
• Preparation of year end accounts
• Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
• VAT and corporation tax returns
• Financial reporting for Directors
• Asset register management
• Petty cash reconciliation
• Liaison with accountants
• Reviewing and making efficiencies in current processes
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
• Possibility in the future for Payroll and HMRC submissions duties

A candidate must:
• Have extensive experience with Sage Line 50
• Be an accounting professional with substantial knowledge of how SME’s work and operate
• Have a pragmatic and proactive approach to problem solving
• Be organized, flexible and self motivated
• Have excellent communication & confidentiality skills
• Have the ability to identify and drive forward continuous improvement

Ideally a candidate will:
• Hold an accounts qualification such as AAT/CIMA/ACA (or similar)
• have some experience of Salesfore and MS Packages
