Residential Sprinkler Systems

The term residential refers to multi-occupancy properties with shared living spaces and shared access. These include care homes, nursing homes and also student housing.

Because of the greater peace of mind fire sprinklers provide in these applications, more and more landlords are modifying their properties with sprinklers to protect vulnerable residents.

In Scotland legislation already demands all new care homes have sprinklers installed.

Greater fire protection at no extra cost

Installing a sprinkler system into a care home or HMO can actually save money as well as lives.

Care home bedroom doors must have closers fitted. However if sprinklers are installed, Building Regulations state door closers aren’t required.

The cost of a closer is roughly the same as the cost of a pipe and sprinkler head to same room (£65).

But no closer also means no complex automatic door retainers. Which means an even greater reduction in the cost of fire protection per room.

Reduce Water Costs

Water usage is a major operational cost for care homes. Fitting a fire sprinkler could actually help reduce them. Our water reclamation system harvests surface rainwater, not only for use in the sprinklers, but for other applications too.

Firstly, regarding the two engineers that attended on Friday may I pass on my gratitude for absolutely lovely lads and carried out all work on our annual service to a great standard and explained in detail what work they had done and what changes were made.

If my thanks and appreciation could be passed on to Management and the lads praised for their great customer service while on site that would be really appreciated as I always say credit where credit is due and would highly recommend these two lads for all your annual services and look forward to seeing them again next year !
