Residential Fire Sprinklers
NFS is a leading provider of fire suppression systems for care homes, nursing homes and other shared residence and multiple occupancy buildings. We understand the difficulties you face, and we’ve developed innovative solutions that minimise operational cost without compromising on safety.
When designing and installing any residential sprinkler system, we’ll listen to your requirements and guide you through every step of the process.
Our goal is always to provide the fire protection that puts the safety of your residents first.
Residential Sprinkler Systems
The term residential refers to multi-occupancy properties with shared living spaces and shared access. These include care homes, nursing homes and also student housing.
Because of the greater peace of mind fire sprinklers provide in these applications, more and more landlords are modifying their properties with sprinklers to protect vulnerable residents.
In Scotland legislation already demands all new care homes have sprinklers installed.
Greater fire protection at no extra cost
Installing a sprinkler system into a care home or HMO can actually save money as well as lives.
Care home bedroom doors must have closers fitted. However if sprinklers are installed, Building Regulations state door closers aren’t required.
The cost of a closer is roughly the same as the cost of a pipe and sprinkler head to same room (£65).
But no closer also means no complex automatic door retainers. Which means an even greater reduction in the cost of fire protection per room.
“I have just had our sprinkler service completed and I must bring to your attention how impressed I was. Dillon was extremely polite and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions thoroughly and nothing was too much trouble. He is a credit or your company.
Please pass on my thanks to him, we will certainly be using the company again and will pass on my recommendations to friends in the area.
“Many thanks for your reply. I have to say it is a breath of fresh air that such a company as yours are able to provide a quick and detailed response as you have. Many are too quick just to provide bare-bones info and then answer questions as they arise. I will be sure to pass your info onto the Client and will let you know of any comments or questions they may have. In the meantime, I am happy to keep you in mind for any other projects that may be suitable for this type of system.
Once again, thank you for your time and I will be in touch soon.”

Firstly, may I compliment your engineers for a truly professional job.
Whilst on-site they were polite, respectful of our home, tidy and pleasant and I would have no hesitation in recommending Nationwide to anybody who is looking to have a sprinkler system installed.
My first thought when we were told that we needed a sprinkler system installing was one of mess, pipes, re-decoration, water and sprinkler heads. How far from the truth this was, the job has progressed with minimal upheaval of our home and I thank you for that.
“I was so impressed with the initial contact and good advice I got from Nationwide, I went to 6 contractors and only Nationwide bothered to make an offer. But as we were so impressed with the professional service we are going ahead with nationwide in any event”
